Greener Faster Challenge

Madison Public Library Sale
In order to limit deconstruction waste, the Madison Public Library will be selling various fixed items and materials ranging from stone, wood fixtures, glass doors, and novelty items like signs and bubblers. To schedule an appointment to purchase items, contact Naomi.

NewenHouse OpenHouses
You're invited to tour the NewenHouse prototype which received Passive House certification on Friday January 27 and February 24 from 4-6pm.  NewenHouse kit homes will provide super insulated, small, sustainable homes for people who want to live lightly on the earth. The homes are designed to be Passive House and LEED Platinum certified. NewenHouses will not need a furnace, even in Wisconsin winters. WID/MIR get LEED Gold
Wisconsin Insitutes of Discovery and Morgridge Institute for Research recently recieved their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification. Madison Environmental Group, Inc. provided LEED consulting services and helped facilitate deconstrution and construction waste management for the project.

Fiore honored for Air Quality
The Commuter Champion Award for Clean Air was given to Fiore in recognition of a Transportation Demand Management Plan, now in its fifth year, at a building located at 222 W. Washington, Madison, WI. The comprehensive transportation plan was created and managed by Madison Environmental Group, Inc. and successfully encourages individuals who work in Network 222 to walk, bike, bus, and carpool rather than drive alone.

FioreAward

Beloit College gets LEED Platinum
for their Center for the Sciences building -- teaming with Madison Environmental Group, Inc., Findorff and Klobucar construction. We take a holistic approach to green building that addresses the interconnection of buildings, people, and transportation. From the concept stage of a new building to greening operations in existing buildings, we have assisted colleges, developers, property owners, and individuals with LEED consulting and green building services.


Greenbuild

Community Car is a carsharing organization that provides cars by the hour for individuals, families, and businesses. Visit website. It was launched in 2003 out of Madison Environmental Group, Inc.'s desire to provide an affordable sustainable transportation option. It now has 1300 members and 18 high gas mileage vehicles.
