Join the 2-week Challenge by reducing
your car use
How free can you be?
Each
participant in the Car Free Challenge eliminates at least
one car trip per week. It all adds up. Together,
last year’s 300 area participants drove 16,000 miles
less than they would have during a normal 2-week period.
As a result of their action, 13,000 lbs. of greenhouse gases,
which would have contributed to global warming, were not
produced.
Why should you
participate?

How does the Car-Free Challenge
work?
For 2 weeks you
will:
-
REPLACE
car trips with walking, biking or taking the bus
-
REDUCE the mileage of car trips, choosing nearby destinations
-
REMOVE
car trips by car or van pooling, combining trips, or
using Community
Car
It
all adds up.
When you sign in as a participant, we are able to
tally the results of our collective action.
